I am sure that I have upset some of those who think there Ellipticals and treadmills are the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I will in this article, they both have a big waste of your time!
First, let me tell you that if you really enjoy mindlessly pumping away on an elliptical or treadmill (or bike), then by all means, you have to do what you like, because your Training is a major key to the reality of knife a routine long-term.
Not that I did not warn you that you are wasting your time with all these mindless cardio vascular machine boredom. You can also find ideas in this article that you like much more than ellipticals and treadmills and get better results losing weight too!
If I had not before I do not believe in cardio machines, and personally I have not even touched an elliptical, treadmill, bike or exercise at least 6 or 7 years (if no more).
In fact, I never use machines, cardio warm-ups for practice (I used from time to time) ... These days I prefer kettle bell or Dumbbell swings or snatches mixed with bodyweight exercises as a body warming at the beginning of my training.
So why in the world, I have a deep aversion to the cardio machines? Here are my 5 main reasons:
1) steady state brainless exercise while watching TV or reading creates a mind / body connection leading to poor results.
2) Ellipticals and treadmills are boring!
3) Ellipticals and treadmills are also a very poor way of working compared to other options you have. Why would you do elliptical or treadmill outputs if you can get much better results by doing more interesting and fun physical activity that actually stimulate your metabolism to a greater volume and increase your fat-burning hormonal response to training.
4) Ellipticals and treadmills are ridiculously expensive and a waste of money for people who work at home ... There are so many better opportunities for output, you can spend your money instead of throwing away on an elliptical, treadmill, bike (probably collecting dust anyway).
I prefer a much less expensive home gym setup ... You do not need much of a good jump rope, bodyweight exercises, a stability ball, some Dumbells (adjustable work), possibly a couple of kettle bells, resistance bands, and perhaps a little more variety.
5) I have also seen that studies have shown that treadmill running evidence May be less effective than jogging outdoors for many reasons, like a little less calories compared to the expenses of jogging outdoors no defects on the treadmill jogging vs. natural, etc.
(although I never recommend just "jogging" anyway ... varied intensity walking or running and / or sprint intervals are more effective training routine, which exercises your heart in a range much wider instead of heart rate in the same heart rate all the time).
So what are good alternatives to carpet and elliptical? Some of the best:
Kettle bell training - there is no beating heart representing the highest KB swings and snatches or clean & presses (can be done in Dumbells so well, but I prefer KBs).
Ga rope - great mind / body connection (try speed jumping, cross, and once you double jumps fine)
Bodyweight training - bodyweight squats Lunges, Pushup, exercises jumping, planks, bear crawls, mountain climbers, etc.
Wind sprints in the open air - is the ultimate training for a super lean ripped body ... Take a look at the chiseled physiques strong sprinters in the world, and compare that to the weak development agencies wilted typical marathon ... Enough said!
Sprint swimming pool - more of a weight training pace distance swimming ... I love the upper body pump I sprint style swimming (this is the same concept as compared to regular jogging sprint pace, but in a pool)
Hill sprints - another basic fiber of a hard and ripped.
Shadow boxing - incredible drive, but if you're shy, you want May to do at home, because you have some crazy looking people when you make a type of gymnastics.
Rowing Machine - I do not set this as a "heart" or machine Ellipticals carpet ... Instead, I think the rowing machine is really a great workout for any body that uses real resistance.
Heavy punching bag / KicKing training, speed bag or sack rebound - all courses are important and far more boring than type cardio machines (requires an intense mind / body connection is essential for success)
I hope you enjoyed this look at why elliptical machines and treadmills are boring and ineffective way of working, and maybe you have found fun new ways to spice up your exercise routine.
